a.) Demitasse cup; small, cream-colored, coffee cup with 'D' shaped handle; blue horizontal line in china approximately 3/8" from top of cup, around exterior circumference, broken on front side by text reading: "Rio Grande" with accentuated horizontal lines on "R", "G" and "d"; cup is wide at top and tapers to smaller circumference at base; blue vertical line in china along outside curve of handle; b.) Demitasse saucer; circular, cream-colored saucer with flared rim; blue line in china around interior circumference approximately 3/8" from edge of rim, broken on top by text reading: "Rio Grande" with accentuated horizontal lines on "R", "G" and "d"; small, circular indentation in center of saucer for cup to sit. The items were used on the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad's Prospector train in the service car. |
