Description |
Painting, Watercolor; Untiled work by rita derjue. Various colors, large in size, rectangular in shape with a horizontal orientation. Watercolor on paper, framed and matted. Painting is of a landscape town scene with various houses and buildings, a field in the foreground, and tall mountains with a blue sky in the background. Painting is various colors including yellow, green, red, blue, brown, white, and more. The field in the foreground is mainly yellow with green and reddish brown accents. In the foreground in the left corner there is a row of buildings, the building closet to the "front" has a brown front and a blue side and roof, square in shape with a pointed roof. In the middle ground there appears to be a street with various buildings and structure. In the center of the middle ground there is a large red barn or house with windows and a green roof, this appears to the main subject of the painting. In the background there are tall green mountains with white snow patches throughout, and behind the green mountains a brown mountain peak with white snow patches is visible as well. The background sky is blue with white clouds scattered throughout. In the bottom left corner the artists signature is written in black ink. The painting has a thick white mat (approx 3 1/2"). Painting is framed in a gold frame and is glazed with plexi. Verso is backed with brown paper and has d-rings and a hanging wire. |
