Bellows organ with ornate cabinet and detachable carved canopy top; organ has lamp shelves on either end of 61-key keyboard; carpeted pedals with wooden frame, and fabric-lined music rack; has 11 stops: Bass Coupler, Melodia, Dolce, Vila, I Forte, Vox Humana, II Forte, Vox Jubilante, Dulciana, Diapason, and Treble Coupler; made by the Estey Organ Co., Brattleboro, VT, U.S.A.; serial no. 231174. From the exhibit "The Story of Littleton in 125 Objects": This organ was purchased in 1891 by the First Presbyterian Church of Littleton, one of the first churches in Littleton. The church was located at the northwest corner of South Curtice and West Main Streets before moving to a new building on West Littleton Boulevard and South Windermere Street in 1929. |
