Photographs of Fred Bemis, front side on on porch of house; reverse side sitting on steps of Courthouse; yellowish card/construction paper; two black and white photos one attached to each side, each seems to be of the same man; in one he stands on a covered porch, right hand in pocket, he wears a light suit with a white collared shirt and a dark tie, and a white hat, behind him is a sign that reads "Justice of the Peace"; in the other photo he wears a darker suit with a darker hat, he half sits on a brick ledge (maybe on the stairs leading to the building on the left edge), his hands are crossed in his lap, trees in the background; photos are attached only by the top edge. Fred Bemis' house was located across from the Courthouse on Littleton Blvd., until it was moved in 1975. |
