Description |
Ceramic round platter or large plate; design of pink & white roses, with green leaves on brown & green toned background; gold decorative edge around top and gold feet; signed on reverse: "Ella G. Bemis 1911". From the exhibit "The Littleton Story in 125 Objects": Littleton native, Ella Bemis (née Kerruish), hand-painted several pieces of china, a popular pastime for young women in the early 1900s. The Littleton Museum also has several of her watercolor paintings in the collection. |
